How does Microneedling work?
Microneedling activates the skin’s natural healing process. Following each session, the skin begins to heal itself and look more renewed and rejuvenated over time. Skin Pen is only used in professional settings and delivers dramatic results without the use of heat or chemicals.  Skin Pen’s microneedles penetrate the skin’s surface which triggers a natural immune response to disinfect, remove debris, increase blood flow, and activate the creation of new tissue. The micro-channels or tiny holes created are rebuilt with new granulation cells that include collagen proteins. A new network of new blood vessels develops as well. New dermal tissues form that are rich in collagen and elastin proteins. These proteins improve skin quality, firmness, reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and reduce the overall signs of aging.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of your own blood and spinning it off in a centrifuge to obtain the platelet rich plasma. The PRP is either applied topically or injected to specific areas during Microneedling. The PRP sinks into the thousands of micro channels created. Once in the micro-channels, the growth factor within the PRP attracts collagen and elastin to the micro injuries created and makes fast work to create a new matrix of collagen and elastin to provide more youthful skin, both in appearance and tone. As an injection or applied topically, the PRP can be added to the session for an additional cost. It helps improve healing and decrease the duration of the temporary redness and swelling following the Microneedling session. This is the ideal treatment for age spots, wrinkles, and scarring and certain forms of hyperpigmentation. PRP boosts the treatment of these and helps you achieve your desired results faster. Microneedling with or without PRP can be used not only to treat the face, but also to treat scars and stretch marks on other areas of the body as well; such as neck and chest and back. A retinol treatment can also be used as an add on to Microneedling both with or without PRP, for an additional boost to skin rejuvenation and cell turnover.
